Birds are vertebrates (animals with backbones) with wings and feathers. Feathers are not the only thing that defines an animal as a bird, they also have wings, lay eggs, build nests and have specialized beaks and feet. Everything about the anatomy of a birds reflects its ability to fly. Wings, for example are shaped to create lift with the leading edge thicker than the back edge, and covered in feathers that is narrow to a point.

“Light makes photography. Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. Know it for all you are worth, and you will know the key to photography”. – George Eastman
